Are you ready for a man-on-man massage that’s genuinely ‘full-body’?
We caught up with James from Touch of London – a massage service that specialises in erotic man-on-man massages – for a behind-the-scenes look at what goes down on the massage table.
Is an erotic gay massage a stepping stone to booking the services of a sex-worker, or is it a stand-alone way of exploring relaxation, intimacy, and pleasure?
An erotic gay massage is different things to different people. To some, it’s a form of sexual therapy. To others, it’s a physical therapy with a pleasant twist.
We go by the view that a full body massage is more effective and enjoyable if it’s genuinely full body. A man’s body, his mind, and his sexuality are all connected. We try to increase his well-being through every channel that’s available to us. It just genuinely makes more sense to adopt a full-system approach.
A lot of our clients like that what we offer is not an escort service. But if someone is interested in gay massage because they want to open up their sexuality, and they’ll possibly be looking for escort services next, who’s to judge them? I wouldn’t.
How much training do the masseurs from Touch of London have – are they offering a serious massage or is it just a bit of gentle rubbing with some hot oil?
All of our guys are qualified masseurs and we offer in-house training to make sure that the massages that we offer are all to the same standard. We can’t afford to try and offer just a ‘pat down’ at the prices we charge, or none of our clients would return. Even with all the tourism, the market in London is quite small, so we rely on our clients’ loyalty and feedback.
Do all erotic gay massages come with a happy ending?
Some call it a happy ending and some call it a lingam massage. Whatever the name, it’s an integral part of an erotic massage.
However, if you’re booking with a masseur or agency that you don’t know, it’s always a good idea to check beforehand as to what exactly is included.
What sort of guys book an erotic gay massage? Do you get a lot of guys who are a bit curious and interested in exploring what man-on-man intimacy might feel like?
We do get quite a few first-timers. It makes sense – it’s a fairly safe environment for them to explore their sexuality as a masseur will never do something that the client doesn’t feel comfortable with.
Some guys ask for the masseur to be clothed. Some guys just want a regular sports massage. Then, during the session, they see how they feel about including the sensual elements.
We get a great variety of clients. Younger guys often think that they make unusual clients as it’s the older gents who would usually book a massage, but it’s not the case – we really do get all ages.
The services offered by Touch of London generally involve going to the home of the masseur. Are there any risks involved – for the masseur or the client?
There are always risks, it would be foolish of me to claim otherwise. We take precautions to mitigate any such risks, because ultimately we are the ones responsible for the well-being of our masseurs and our clients.
The main risks for the masseurs are of theft and physical or sexual violence. At the agency, we keep tabs on when the massage begins and ends – someone is always staying up late until the last massage finishes.
We don’t make a booking if something feels ‘off’ when communicating with a client. For example, if the client is using coarse language then that’s a bit of a red flag for us. All of our masseurs know that they can stop a massage at any point if they feel unsafe – if they’re on an out-call, they can leave. We never book one masseur to work with two clients at once, the masseur can never be outnumbered.
The main risk for the client is that of theft. We vet the masseurs we work with – we know them personally and meet them regularly, so we guarantee the safety and comfort of clients. Of course, if someone complained, we would investigate.
Since we started in 2016, we haven’t had any instances of theft or violence, so we must be doing something right.
What do you hope that guys feel when they have a massage from one of the masseurs from Touch of London?
I’d hope that guys new to gay massage would feel the excitement of discovery, and the more experienced guys would experience the perfect blend of comfortable familiarity, relaxation and blissful abandon. We want anyone having the massage to feel that they’ve made the right choice and have given themselves just what they needed.
Whenever we get feedback from a client, I pass it on to the masseur as well. It’s important for them to hear how their work makes their clients feel. You don’t become a masseur if you don’t care about that, or you don’t stay in that line of work for long.
