The boys of the Brigayde are back with beef and boners
Published by Class Comics, The Brigayde is a great example of erotic gay comics at their most ambitious and most accomplished. Every instalment impresses, and Issue #8 continues to raise the bar on this sexed-up super-hero series.
Written by Patrick Fillion and illustrated by David Cantero, Issue #8 has bucket-loads of action, narrative, character development, and sex rammed into every page.
Issue #8 is going to be best enjoyed if you’ve got some of the context from previous instalments. There’s a lot of characters, and several narrative strands – if you just start cold with this issue, you’d still get plenty out of it but it could feel a bit overwhelming if you’re struggling to follow the story.
In Issue #7, we saw Abner Filigree putting his evil plan into action in Gateway City – persecuting anyone who identifies as being part of the LGBTQ community.
Issue #8 continues to ride that emotional roller-coaster. Legend has been brainwashed by Filigree and has been sent to abduct Oliver Solando. However, Solando is protected by a pumped up Deimos alongside Felix Himner and Wisti.
Meanwhile, Diablo is trying to prove his commitment to the imprisoned Ghostboy. Ghostboy is fighting off thugs in the prison showers, while Diablo is subjected to a thorough going over by the prison guards.
Having a more relaxed time in the Caribbean are Bullet and Golden Boy – having a bit of quality time after getting married. Red Velvet and Byron Durand are also making the most of having some time to get to know each other better.
The Brigayde is erotic super-hero storytelling at its most ambitious and most accomplished.
If you’re a comic geek and if you’ve ever fuelled your fap fantasies with spandex-wearing sex-gods, then you’re going to want to add The Brigayde to your reading list.
