Facts and Myths About Delta-8 Products

Before 2019, delta-8 was not a very well-known cannabis strain. However, with more marketing and the creation of more products that were based on delta-8, it quickly became well-known and popular. As a result, it carved a niche for itself in the cannabis industry. However, as its popularity grew, so did misconceptions and false beliefs about the strain.

Cannabis products, including delta-8, have been incredibly politicized, and information about them is often tailored to fit the public’s narrative. It can be difficult to separate fact from fiction. But we want to provide you with the facts, so in this article we’ll discuss common misconceptions and the truth about delta-8 products. Make up your own mind and decide for yourself.

1. Delta-8 is Not Natural

Since it previously wasn’t as popular as the other cannabis strains, a large section has been pushing the narrative that delta-8 is not natural.

Well, this assumption is wrong. Delta-8 occurs naturally in the hemp plant. While its products may be made in laboratories, they retain their natural essence. The manufacturing process only acts as a catalyst that speeds up the natural process for reactions. It does nothing to alter the natural essence of the strain.

2. Delta-8 is not legal

Thanks to its hemp sources, it is common for people to think that delta-8 is illegal automatically.

But unknown to most people, the federal farm bill of 2018 made hemp farming, production, and consumption with less than 0.3% THC legal.

Some people incorrectly cite a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) rule to prove that delta-8 is illegal. There is nothing further from the truth. The DEA rule only considers synthetic THC as unlawful. As long as delta-8 comes from hemp, under the law, it is legal.

And as we have already seen, delta-8 isn’t synthetic, and its production process doesn’t make it unnatural.

3. Delta-8 is Legal Universally

Among strong cannabis enthusiasts, you may hear big claims like “delta-8 is legal globally.” Well, this assumption is wrong again. In the United States, for example, delta-8 is federally legal. However, there are states in the country with laws against its use. So despite the federal law, whether you can buy, sell, or use delta-8 depends firmly on the local laws of the state where you live.

You’re probably asking yourself, “So why does the federal law matter if states can still restrict delta-8?” It means you can travel with it across state lines and borders, as long as it is legal in both states. This also means you can order it online, regardless of your location, and travel with it.

This is not the same with marijuana, which is illegal across US borders.

4. Delta-8 Can Lead to Addiction

While this is a relatively easy argument, delta-8 THC is fundamentally not addictive.

Any habit or substance tends to be addictive or habit-forming if used outside of its recommended dose. That said, there isn’t any chemical in delta-8 or its products.

Because people turn to delta-8 products when they need to clear their heads or get over an experience or pain, it doesn’t make delta-8 addictive.

It’s normal to find comfort in people, drugs, or memories when we need a short-term break from problems we can’t control. This means delta-8 isn’t less addictive than alcohol, gambling, sex, or shopping.

There are generally no harmful chemicals; how we relate to them determines the effect they’ll have on us.

5. Delta-8 Doesn’t Affect a Drug Test

Delta-8 may be federally legal, but that doesn’t stop you from failing a drug test. The thing is, drug tests cannot differentiate between delta-8 and delta-9 THC. So get ready to fail the drug test if you have had a dose of delta-8 in the last 30 days. The type of drug test you undergo also plays a role in determining whether you pass or fail the test.

Do not be swayed by products on the internet that promise to wipe your body system clean before a drug test. There might be ways around this, but none offer a guarantee. Your best bet is to stay clean for at least 30 days before you have the test. Drug tests can be thorough sometimes, and it is easy for tricks and maneuvers to be detected quickly.

Conclusion

While this is not a promotional article for Delta 8, we know misinformation travels at the speed of light, and we are committed to debunking these falsehoods wherever they appear. Delta-8 has drawbacks, but we firmly believe that people must hear both sides to make informed decisions. For the best results, try the best Delta-8 for sale on the market.
