Joey Mills named as Hottest Bottom by the Grabby Awards
At the 2021 Grabby Awards, Joey Mills has been named as the Hottest Bottom in gay porn.
He also picked up the trophy for Most Accomplished International Pornstar at the Grabby Awards Europe.
This comes on top of his win at the GayVN Awards, when he was crowned as the fan-favourite in the category of Social Media Star, and his trophy for Favorite Gay Model at the Pornhub Awards.
Continuing to score big in fan-voted categories demonstrates that Joey is still attracting a loyal and engaged audience.
“It means a lot to be nominated…” said Joey, speaking before the Pornhub awards. “A lot of people don’t think that being a porn actor is a job to be proud of, but when a company as large and successful as PornHub recognises you for the work you do, it’s hard not to be proud.”
“So wild I honestly never expected to win this award at any time during my career I thought top twink was my peak so once again than you @Pornhub” tweeted Joey, after the Pornhub award was announced.
Who is Joey Mills?
Joey made his name with Helix Studio but is now filming with Men.com, as well as creating content for his fan-subscription channels.
Notable roles include Tale of Two Cock Destroyers, as well as the Tom of Finland tribute Pleasure Park.
Written by Taylor Saracen, The Electric Soul is a coming-of-age novel that chronicles the life of Joey Mills before he was famous.
We caught up with Joey Mills for a behind-the-scenes look at the book.
How did you feel when you were first approached about collaborating with Taylor Saracen to tell your coming-of-age story?
I was really surprised. I knew that 13 Red were starting to do a series of books on adult film stars, but I didn’t think I would be one of them. When I found out I was, I was more than ecstatic to do it. Well, kind of.
Did you have any apprehensions about sharing this side of yourself with the world?
Absolutely. I thought it could be damaging to my career. It really came down to should I lie or tell the true story? I told the truth because I knew people would enjoy that more.
Was the process of working on this book a form of therapy at all?
To an extent, it made me go back and reflect on my life and all the tiny factors. It was good to reflect on how I became the person I am today.
Is Electric Soul a how-to guide for young guys thinking about exploring a career in the porn industry?
Absolutely not. Electric Soul has nothing to do with porn. It’s my coming out story. It’s intended for young adult readers.
Who do you think will most engage with your story?
I think everyone who has struggled with their sexuality or some part of them that they weren’t sure they wanted to share with others will relate to it. I hope people in the LGBTQ community read it, especially teens who may be kind of lost – like I felt for a while.
What do you hope that people feel when reading Electric Soul?
Inspiration, to an extent. I want them to feel that they can be comfortable with who they are, make their mistakes, learn from them, and just come out a good person.
