Ben Hazlewood is joining in the Revelry with a stomping new track
Ben Hazlewood has released the music video for his latest track, Revelry.
Revelry is taken from Hazlewood’s debut album, Bloodline.
“Revelry is defined as lively and noisy festivities that especially involve drinking a large amount of alcohol…” explains Hazlewood. “My life seemed to be one ongoing Revelry. Numbing the pain that I didn’t want to face. This song is about how much of a hold these moments had over me. A fraught retelling of the many failed attempts to escape these actions which I knew, inherently was self-destructive.”
Who is Ben Hazlewood
Hazlewood is described as an anthemic alt-pop artist – his music showcases his vocal strength without losing its soulful edge or its glam-rock flair.
Hazlewood grew up in New Zealand. After spending time in London, he now calls Australia home – basing himself in Melbourne.
“Lying is about putting on a brave face while hiding the fight of an internal pain and the fear of being vulnerable…” explains Hazlewood. “Sometimes it’s easier to be lost in a lie than to face a truth that could expose and unravel you.”
