ManCrush: Max Adonis

We caught up with Max Adonis for a behind-the-scenes look at his online life.
“I think I started exploring a career in porn because I had a hole that needed to be filled…” explains Max, when we ask him how he got his start in the industry. “A metaphorical hole!”
“It started when I was quite young. When I was watching porn, I’d imagine that it was myself in the video. I was wishing it was me. I just figured that everyone felt this way. Once I realised that I wasn’t normal, I took the leap.”
“My heroes are my amazing brothers who refuse to live the party lifestyle that typically goes hand-in-hand with porn…” replies Max, when we ask him about his inspirations in the industry. We lose so many of our own to drugs and mental health issues – it’s very upsetting. We are a community – I love those who reach out for help. You’re not alone. I promise.”
“I’m so thankful to have entered the industry at this time…” says Max, when we ask him if he enjoys the entrepreneurial side of the adult entertainment business. “We’re closer to our fans than ever before. I couldn’t make a living from studio pay, I don’t think any of us could. My strategy is to never treat my audience as cash pigs. I think that’s so disrespectful. They deserve quality content and my commitment is to making that content.”
“It’s over five years since I went vegan…” confirms Max, when we ask him about his vegan diet. “I made the connection when I was 25 – it truly changed my life for the better. I felt powerful – like I could change the world. I don’t think I know any other gay porn stars who are vegan. I know a lesbian couple who dabble in OnlyFans who are vegan.”
“Generally, I find gay men are less likely to try plant-based options. They tend to believe the meat-makes-you-manly narrative. It’s that internal homophobia we all know and love. Add that to the unrealistic body expectations, and the lies and misinformation concerning a low-carb diet. It’s a recipe for disaster.”
“If someone is considering going vegan, my message is that knowledge is power. I have links – hit me up. Or watch The Game Changers – a documentary on Netflix.”
“I love the boxer-brief style…” says Max, when our conversation inevitably turns to underwear. “I don’t want to feel snug at all down there. I want my cock and balls to flop around. I want to create my own musky atmosphere down there.”
