Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend on hold until 2022
The annual Mid-Atlantic Leather weekend – or MAL Weekend, for short – is always a highlight of the calendar for America’s fetish fraternity.
Normally held in January, organisers have confirmed that there won’t be an MAL Weekend in 2021 – plans have been held over until MAL can safely return in 2022.
The dates for 2022 have been announced – 14-17 January is what you need to be blocking out in your diary, if you like to plan ahead.
The MAL Weekend Takes place over Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. The event sees thousands of leather-loving men making the pilgrimage to the US capital.
“It’s three days of debauchery that attracts thousands from the fetish community and even more curious spectators…” explains DC nightlife producer Q of La Fantasy Productions.
“MAL creates a safe and friendly environment where everyone can be themselves without judgement…” says Q. “I love how real the weekend is. People come together as a community, without pretences or restrictions.”
