Brighton Pride is one of the biggest LGBTQ events of the summer, and their plans for 2019 are taking shape nicely.
The focus of Brighton Pride in 2019 is the weekend of 3-4 August.
On Saturday 3 August, Brighton will be away with the Pride Parade, followed by a big party in the park. Last year, the headliner for the Saturday party was Britney – details of who will be performing this year have yet to be released.
On Sunday 4 August, we’ll all be back in the park for another day of music and dancing known as the Love BN1 Fest.
Headlining the main stage for the Love BN1 Fest will be Grace Jones and Jessie J.
They don’t get more legendary than Grace Jones. Not only is she a style icon, had a string of club hits, and starred in major film roles. She was a fixture at Studio 54 in its heyday, and she hula-hooped for the Queen on her 90th birthday.
She’s got a powerful voice to match her in-your-face attitude, and she knows how to make pop music magic. Get ready to sing along to Price Tag, Domino, Bang Bang, and LaserLight – all staples of any Pride festival soundtrack.
If you’re planning on going, you should probably get on and book your tickets – they’re pretty much guaranteed to sell out.
