Ready for a Naked Yoga Retreat?
Naked yoga and fitness instructor Dan Carter is inviting men to join him at INNdulge Palm Springs for a long weekend of uninhibited camaraderie under the hot desert sun.
Dan’s Naked Yoga and Hiking Retreat will be held 13-17 May. The itinerary includes yoga, hiking through the Palm Spring desert, pilates, Thai-massage, partner fitness classes and special workshops.
Men will socialise with other retreat participants during nightly happy hours and while lounging together in INNdulge Palm Springs’ salt-water pool and twelve-man jacuzzi.
“It is a non-sexual weekend however intimacy and touch will be important bonding components to the weekend…” explains Dan. Carter. “A huge part of the experience will be building a real sense of family between the two dozen other men in attendance.”
“As we finally begin to see the light from this dark year of isolation, it is important for men to reconnect with their bodies and spirits…” adds Dan. “A deeper understanding of self will enable us to steer through the distractions and obstacles of the past year and move more directly toward achieving our dreams and goals. Being naked is key because it helps peel away the outer layer most of us use to deceive ourselves and it encourages us to love who we truly are. It will also be a judgment-free weekend. That means weight, fitness level, and anatomy size do not matter!”
“We are employing precautions in order to make sure that the retreat is as safe as possible…” confirms Jon Jackson, the owner of INNdulge Palm Springs. “Our staff are fully vaccinated, wear masks at all time, and have been trained on safety protocols and cleaning. We have also rearranged the common areas to encourage social distancing.”
Since the 1920s, Palm Springs has been as a queer destination. 50s-era stars like Rock Hudson and Tab Hunter made the town their second home because it allowed them to escape the hustle and bustle of Hollywood and enjoy sexual freedom without fear of being outed. That sense of liberation lives on in Palm Springs today.
