This weekend, we’ve been hanging out with the Red Hot boys as they launch their range of signature underwear.
Photographer Thomas Knights began the Red Hot concept as a calendar – showcasing the timeless appeal of red-head guys. But the underwear takes things to the next level.
“Research and analysis is key…” said Elliot Frieze, Red Hot’s art director. “To begin with, it’s looking at trends, seeing what cuts and fits are desirable. Colour-wise, it’s analysing the popular colours and shades that consumers are purchasing. Again, asking our fans what colours are best suited for them. The choice of fabric is paramount when designing a collection. Comfort is so important when it comes to underwear. Let’s be realistic, we’re spending most of our day in them.”
Presented by online dating specialists Gaydar, the Red Hot team and their models took over the Prowler store in London’s Soho, and then hosted a house party at L’Escargot – complete with ginger boys stripped down to showcase the underwear in action.
Made from super-soft, stretch cotton, with a bigger, more comfortable pouch, the underwear proudly features the Red Hot logo on a 1.5 inch elasticated waistband.
Products can be purchased online, and are available in black, white, or blue, the underwear comes in three styles – hip brief, jock, or trunk.
