So, you want to be a porn-star?

If you want to explore a career in the adult entertainment industry, how do you get started as a porn-star?
We asked some established performers how they got their start.
Dillon Diaz
“Being new and unknown, it’s really hard to get people to respond to you at all, let alone say yes. I’ve been blessed to make some friends in high places, and then I made sure I was a pleasure to work with so that they would be happy to book me again.”
“Breaking into porn hasn’t been easy, and maybe it’s not supposed to be. Maybe if you really want it, you’ll have to work for it.”
Jason Morgan
“I’ve always been a big porn guy - I started looking at Google Images when I was in 7th and 8th grade. By high school, I started exploring videos. So, as I got older, I’ve always thought that it would be cool to try porn out.”
“It was actually my brother, Justin, who wanted to do it for real. He was talking to a few guys online.”
“When we were moving to Portland, in Oregon, I met a guy who occasionally films for Treasure Island Media and he encouraged us both to apply. Once people found out we were twins, we decided to do it together. After that, it kind of took off.”
“I’m happy I get to experience this with my twin brother - it makes things a little more comfortable, because we’re not alone. It’s been fun and exciting so far.”
Joel Someone
“Charged Media was the first studio to give me a chance – that’s who gave me my break.”
“I wanted to work with them. I pursued them because that’s what all of my escorting clients were watching – they weren’t just watching clips on PornHub or something, they were all fully paid-up subscribers. I was drawn to the storytelling aspect of their productions, the characters – as an actor, that really appealed to me.”
Brian Bonds
“Like many people who watch porn, I wanted to be one of the guys on the screen or in the magazine…” explains Brian. “Back in 2011, I didn’t have much else going on for me. I wasn’t in shape, and I was really depressed because of not being who I wanted to be. So, I locked myself away from friends and family and focused on getting myself in the shape I needed to become one of the guys on the screen.”
