What to watch on Netflix: Grace and Frankie – binge-worthy comedy
If you’re bunkered down at home and looking for something to watch, don’t forget that you can watch all six seasons of Grace and Frankie on Netflix.
In the sixth season – released a few months ago – Grace announces her spontaneous wedding, which naturally sparks big changes in her friendship with Frankie. Meanwhile a new business idea keeps the women on their toes.
It’s a joy to have Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin front-and-centre in this series. In the title roles of Grace and Frankie, they make a great odd-couple double act, even if the comedy often veers towards absurdist humour.
If you’re new to this, Grace and Frankie are thrown together when their husbands unexpectedly announce that they’re gay and have been having a secret relationship for years. If you’ve never immersed yourself in the world of Grace and Frankie, this is a good time to do it. Go right back to the start and watch the story unfold from the beginning of Season 1.
One of the strengths of this show is the ensemble cast – Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, June Diane Raphael, and Baron Vaughn round out this eclectic, damaged, yet still lovable extended family.
