What to watch: The Swimmer

Written and directed by Adam Kalderon, The Swimmer gives us the story of an elite training camp in Israel for prospective Olympic swimmers.
The action revolves around Erez – one of the swimmers competing for a chance to represent Israel at the Olympics.
Although passionate about swimming and committed to his ambitions, Erez loses focus when he falls for one of his fellow swimmers.
Despite the challenges of trying to film competitive swimming, Kalderon has delivered a watchable film that keeps you invested in the emotional roller-coaster that Erez is trying to navigate.
There’s plenty of smouldering sexual tension and men in speedos.
The cast includes Omer Perelman, Asaf Jonas, Ofek Cohen, and Gal Reznik.
