Drag Race Down Under - Season 4, Episode 3: The Recap

It's possibly the least-loved version of the franchise but Drag Race Down Under is back for Season 4.

This week was the Snatch Game, given a sort of "I'm a Celebrity" jungle twist.

It was fine.

What I'm really enjoying is having queens from previous seasons on the panel as judges - it makes so much sense! It makes so much sense that it seems implausible that it's not mandatory for the entire franchise?

Brenda was the winner of the week, which seemed fair enough. Also in the top were Mandy and Vybe.

In the bottom were Max, Carna, and Nikita.

Instead of a Bottom 2, we got a messy 3-way lip-sync for no reason whatsoever.

The track was My Delirium by Ladyawke - this week's guest judge. A solid track with plenty of energy and attitude although not really camp enough to be a drag track.

Overall, it was predictably messy.

If we were going on actual performance and track record, it would have been an obvious move to eliminate Nikita. But that's not what happened. Carna went home - I'm guessing that we'd run out of storyline options for Carna, or something.

Mandy Moobs
Love the energy that Mandy is bringing to this season - a very well-rounded queen.

Freya Armani
I'm obsessed with Freya, she really seems to be the total package. Will she win? No. But she's going to be a joy to watch.

Vybe, Sydney
If you want to know what experienced drag looks like, it's Vybe. Knows how to work a stage, knows how to work a room, knows how to entertain.

Lucina Innocence
I'm really not sure what Lucina is good at.

Nikita Iman
Love Nikita's wide-eyed enthusiasm. However, it feels like we're at the end of the road in terms of her storyline on this season.

Brenda Bressed
Brenda is funny and camp and entertaining. A class act.

Max Drag Queen
Bottom 2 in Episode 3 is not where Max is going to want to be. Now that she has survived Snatch Game, is there anything else that could trip her up?

Lazy Susan
She's been making smart choices since the beginning of the season - things are looking good for Lazy Susan.

Karna Ford
Karna came into the competition with a reputation as a dancing queen who puts on a show. I'm not sure that she's enhanced that reputation with what we got to see on this series - I feel like Karna has been a bit hard-done by.
