RPDR Global All Stars - Episode 11: The Recap

Global All Stars was kind of the obvious move from the Drag Race franchise.

It has some things going for it - these are top-tier drag queens doing their best to figure out the challenges and create some TV magic.

However, it has some challenges - it all feels a bit rushed, and doesn't seem to have resonated with the audience.

Anyway, we've got to the end, so it is what it is.

There was a music video performance, which was cute, and a final lip-sync to Bad Romance - the final four delivered individual lip-syncs that were then edited together.

Ultimately, we got to the crowning and there was zero surprise when Alyssa Edwards was announced as the winner.

While this was the crown that Alyssa clearly deserved, was this the Global All Stars that we deserved as an audience? Probably not.

Season 1, done!

The Cast

Alyssa Edwards from the United States

Well, she finally got the crown that she has always deserved. Coming into this season, Alyssa was clearly several levels above the rest of the cast. That seems to have always been the intention.

Kitty Scott-Claus from the UK

A great season for Kitty - elevating her from Drag Race UK into a global force who epitomises the camp and entertaining drag that everyone loves.

Kween Kong from Australia

A powerhouse performer, this season was a great showcase for Kween and everything she brings to the stage.

Nehellenia from Italy

An impressive performance from Nehellenia - this will really help to put her on the global map, although her victim/bullying storyline was a bit disempowering.

The eliminated queens

Tessa Testicle from Germany

Tessa can be really happy with her run on this series - she's performed considerably better here than on her original season in Drag Race Germany. This experience should give her a lot of confidence to continue to build her career.

Vanity Vain from Sweden

It's been a really fantastic season for Vanity - demonstrating to the world that she is an accomplished performer who knows how to entertain.

Pythia from Canada

A very strong season for Pythia - demonstrating her creativity and flair for costume design as well as building some confidence as a performer.

Gala Varo from Mexico

I love Gala and this has been a good season for Gala - showcasing her performance talents and her likability. We'll be seeing a lot more from Gala.

Soa De Muse from France

Solid work from Soa. She's likeable and entertaining, and this experience will have helped her grow as an international performer.

Eva Le Queen from the Philippines

Eva is an accomplished queen who easily sits within the top tier of the global Drag Race franchise. This has been a great opportunity for Eva to continue to build her reputation and demonstrate the strength of Filipino entertainers.

Miranda Lebrão from Brasil

Loved Miranda on her original season and it was great to see her shining within this global cast. She's quirky, original, and has a unique perspective on drag that is always intriguing.

Athena Likis from Belgium

Athena will be disappointed to be the Pork Chop of the season but it's huge recognition to be included in this cast and she looked absolutely in her element. This gives Athena a global platform on which she can continue to build.
