Watch-list: Single, Out.

Lee Galea is back with more Single, Out - Season 2 continues the Australian filmmaker's affectionate exploration of queer dating and relationships in Melbourne.

Building on the characters established in the first season, the series revolves around the troubled romantic life of Adam (Will Hutchins).

As well as Will Hutchins as Adam, the cast includes Jack Brophy, Jake Hyde, Jesper Stenberg, and Steven Christou.

These are engaging characters and Galea's script centres contemporary conversations about queer relationships and the challenges of figuring out how to navigate the transition into adulthood.

Depending on your frame of reference, Adam's dilemmas aren't particularly earth-shattering, although Galea leans into the emotional melodrama that defines our relationships.

While at times it feels a little like we're viewing queer life through a heteronormative lens, this is an affectionate and watchable ode to living life in Melbourne and making the most of the people we love and the time we have together.
