Fate brings two men together in this film from Théodore Tomasz.
Written and directed by Théodore Tomasz, One Last Night Of You gives us the story of Evan and Leo.
When his car breaks down during a fateful road trip, Evan, a suicidal young man, meets Léo, a mysterious boy who offers to drive him to his destination. Along the way, romantic tension ensues as the pair reckon with traumas of the past, conflicts of the present and the potential of the future – together or apart. Evan soon realizes that he may have found something – or someone – worth living for.
This film has strong echoes of Rosodium - a 2022 release from Théodore Tomasz. It's the kind of economical storytelling that's compact and concise - dialogue-driven filmmaking that would equally work as a stage production.
Worth a watch.
