Alejandro Postigo - and his alter ego, La Gitana - bring an English translation of Copla to the London stage.
Once repressed under the Spanish dictatorship, Copla music was transformed by Spanish drag artists in the 1980s, and is given new life in Alejandro’s interactive solo performance, Copla: A Spanish Cabaret.
Accompanied by live music, Postigo's performs explores queer and migrant experiences as well as issues of cultural and sexual identity.
