Celebrity watch: Nicholas Hoult
We know talent when we see it!
With Nicholas Hoult hitting the promotion trail hard for Nosferatu, one of the more surprising revelations has been the souvenir that he was gifted from the set.
According to interviews, and verified by his own Insta posts, Nicholas pocketed the prosthetic penis word in the film by Bill Skarsgård.
The penis - framed so that it can be displayed in his home - was apparently a gift from the film's director, Robert Eggers.
“There’s a scene where Bill Skarsgård is slurping my blood and Robert Eggers asked afterwards, ‘How was that for you?’ And I said, ‘I could feel his prosthetic penis on my leg...’ explained Nicholas. “And then as a wrap gift, Rob got it framed and sent it to my house. But the frame had broken when it got there, so I had take it to the local frame shop and be like ‘Hey dude, can you fix this?’”
What is Nosferatu about?
The film is a reboot of a cinema classic about vampires - leaning into the psychosexual subtext of the genre, with plenty of sex and nudity.
As well as Nicholas Hoult, the film stars Lily Rose-Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Emma Corrin, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Willem Dafoe.
Who is Nicholas Hoult?
Born in 1989, Nicholas began working as a child actor in 1996. In 2002, he starred opposite Hugh Grant in About a Boy.
He transitioned into a teen star with his role in the series Skins (2007-2008).
Then stepped it up again in 2009 when Tom Ford cast him opposite Colin Firth and Julianne Moore in A Single Man.
From there, Nicholas seems to have never really missed. He's regularly appeared in big box office Hollywood productions and received numerous recognitions for his performances - most notably for his work on the series The Great, opposite Elle Fanning.
After Nosferatu, Nicholas will soon be back on our screens playing Lex Luthor in the new Superman movie.
The personal life? Nicholas is in a relationship with Bryana Holly and they have two children.
