Drag Race star, The Vivienne, has died.
The announcement has shocked fans of the franchise around the world.
Posting on social media, The Vivienne's publicist - Simon Jones - has confirmed that The Vivienne has died, aged 32.
"It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved James Lee Williams - The Vivienne, has passed this weekend. James was an incredibly loved, warm- hearted and amazing person. Their family are heartbroken at the loss of their son, brother and uncle. They are so proud of the wonderful things James achieved in their life and career. We will not be releasing any further details. We please ask that James's family are given the time and privacy they now need to process and grieve."
Numerous people from the Drag Race franchise, the entertainment community, and beyond have been posting social media tributes - expressive a collective shock and heartbreak at the news.
In the past, The Vivienne has talked publicly about her struggles with addiction issues, but there's not currently any speculation as to the cause of death.
Originally from Liverpool, The Vivienne worked extensively across the UK drag scene as well as Gran Canaria before being cast on Season 1 of Drag Race UK in 2019.
The Vivienne's global reputation was enhanced by their appearance on Drag Race All Stars in 2022, as well as appearing on the UK series Dancing On Ice in 2023.
