Our Welsh fave reveals that he's building a life together with boyfriend Fran Thomas.
Speaking to Out magazine, Luke Evans has opened up about his relationship with Fran Thomas.
The couple went Insta-official with their relationship in 2022. Since then, they're clearly spending a lot of time together - even launching a line of clothing in a joint venture.
“He’s a great human being...” Luke shared in the interview. “He’s kind, calm. He’s happy. He’s positive. He’s a hard worker. He literally makes me a better person. And he has to put up with my shit, which I can’t imagine what that would be like.”
“We’re best friends, we travel together, we work together - we’re building a life together...” added Luke. “We’re happy, and I’m very grateful that I met that person.”

To mark his 45th birthday, Luke stripped down for the cover of Mens Health España showcasing his body from every angle.
“I look at today’s photos and I’m happy..." says Luke. "At 45, I’m already middle-aged, that’s what they call it, right? I feel good. I could be better. I look in the mirror and think about training more, drinking less beer - but life is not that simple.”

Speaking about the project, which is called BDXY, Evans explained that when they began “deep diving on YouTube and Google for inspiration and we all kept migrating back to the ‘60s and ‘70s.”
Referencing a style of dressing embodied by actors such as Steve McQueen or Marlon Brando, Evans explains that BDXY is channeling the style of old-school heartthrobs.
“These pictures are so iconic, they would stand up to anything now on a billboard…” says Evans. “And so that’s where our inspiration came from — Old Hollywood classic.”
The name – BDXY – is a conjunction of bold and sexy. According to Evans, those are the words that sum up the ethos of the brand.
"We decided to name every piece in the collection after the job titles on a film and television set - they don’t exist anywhere else..." said Evans. "The t-shirt is ‘The Actor’ because it was our first inspiration when we looked at Marlon Brando, James Dean, Steve McQueen, and Harrison Ford. The t-shirts are synonymous with the pictures that have lasted. The brief underwear is called ‘The Unit,’ the boxer brief is ‘The Boom’ and the swimwear brief is ‘The Atmos‘. ‘The Captain’ has the Brazilian sunga cut. We have ‘The Gaffer’ trucker cap, ‘The Wrap’ towel, and ‘The Shutter’ tote bag too."
Who is Luke Evans
Early life
Born in Pontypool in South Wales, Luke began studying acting at the age of 16, soon moving to London to pursue his passion.
The West End
Luke first came to the world’s attention with lead roles in big-name musicals in London’s West End, such as Rent, and Miss Saigon.
Film
Film roles started to come with Clash of the Titans, and Immortals. He went on to starring roles in The Hobbit, Dracula Untold, and Beauty and The Beast.
Recording Artist
Luke released his debut album, At Last, in 2019.
The Relationship
Luke is currently dating Fran Tomas. From Spain, Tomas is a project manager with a construction company. Luke and Fran met in 2021 while they were both in Australia.
