Sapphira Cristál spills the tea with Jonny McGovern
It’s been a fantastic season for Sapphira Cristál – she could easily have won the crown but she’s achieved what she needed to do in terms of establishing herself on the international stage.
We got all the inside stories from her appearance on Hey Qween!
Sapphira shares how she felt watching the finale – and not winning, her approach to the entire competition, and how she felt about her fellow competitors.
Hosted by Jonny McGovern, Hey Qween! is a talk-show that streams on WOW Presents Plus. Each episode of Hey Qween! sees Jonny interview a queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race – Season 16.
Jonny McGovern on How To Date Men
For the How To Date Men podcast, we caught up with Jonny for a behind-the-scenes look at Hey Qween and all of his other gay-as-fuck projects.
Listen to the conversation on our podcast.
“Working with World of Wonder gives us access like never before…” explains Jonny McGovern. “The queens go from the main stage to my stage, and the T is piping hot!”
As well as working on Hey Qween!, Jonny McGovern is also presenting weekly episodes of his podcast, Jonny McGovern is Gay-as-Fuck.
The podcast celebrates all things of homosexual interest and features Jonny’s affectionate takes on pop culture, the hottest tabloid tales and internet thirst traps.
“I missed having a place to speak directly with my fans about the gayest topics…” explains Jonny. “In the podcast, I’m taking deep dives into stories that might make other podcasts blush. Who else is going to uncover which drag queens have Only Fans accounts and whether or not preacher TD Jakes is a power bottom? Only me, Jonny McGovern, because I am and have always been, gay as fuck.”
There’s also new music on the way – Jonny’s track, Man Areas, has caught the attention of the TikTok generation. With Man Areas having been streamed on Spotify over 20 million times, Jonny has been inspired to head back into the studio to give his audience more.
Hey Qween! airs exclusively on WOW Presents Plus at 3pm PST / 6pm EST following Friday’s RuPaul’s Drag Race.
