Lil Nas X continues to trust his instincts on the red carpet
What is the point of the Met Gala? No one really knows – it doesn’t even give us any insights about fashion.
But it does give some of our favourite men a chance to dress to impress, and that’s a challenge that Lil Nas X is always up for.
Everyone appears to have been fairly confused by the theme for this year’s event, but Lil Nas X seems to have made it his personal mission to make doilies sexy.
Has he been successful? We might need to see some more evidence before we can declare a trend alert on this one.
Lil Nas X: Trust Me
We’ve got new music from Lil Nas X – the latest track is Trust Me.
First of all, it’s a great track – Lil Nas X is giving us tunes – but it’s also leaning into the sex-positive vibe that Lil Nas X is making his own, referencing hook-up apps, PrEP, dick pics, and the sexual exploration of a horny young teen.
“Cap and gown, I graduated and got out of town, went to college where I had no one around/Grindr sessions sextin’ with faceless accounts/Bringin’ bodies in me, then sneaking ’em out.”
“Back in middle school, I was fiendin’ for dick /seventh grade, sending my homies some pics/Daddy never knew what I did as a kid/He would’ve crucified me but, trust me, I get it, trust me I get it.”
“Got on PrEP, I’m ready for the worse/I’m fuckin’ way more than I deserve/I ain’t seen a doctor in some months/just the Covid vaccination nurse.”
“Yeah, I wrap it up for most/magnum wrappers on the kitchen floors/platinum rappers never could relate to me/We just on some whole different goals/Never have I sold my soul/But I got over 40million sold/How the fuck I’m only 24, mind of a 42 year old.”
