ManCrush: Sebastian Rio

We caught up with Sebastian Rio for a behind-the-scenes look at his online life.
Your longevity in the porn industry has been fairly extraordinary. What have been some of the most important lessons that you’ve learned along the way?
I’ve been lucky to be able to work with some amazing people.
When I started back in the late 90s, I didn’t know any better. For me, my lesson was to be strong, to be me, and to have thick skin. Performers need to have that in order to survive in this industry.
Now that I look back, I know that I’ve made some mistakes but I’ve learned so much from them.
Reflecting on all the guys that you’ve worked with, which are the performers that really stand out to you as being some of the most memorable?
That’s hard to say – I’ve worked with some amazing guys. For me, it would have to be Morgan Black, Matt Sizemore, Preston Johnson, Jason Crew, and Bobby Williams – just to mention few.
You’ve announced that you’re no longer filming for porn studios and you’ve shut down your fan-subscription channels. What led you to decide to make that move?
I decided that I wanted to stop doing videos to focus on my personal life. I wanted to give myself time and space without the stress and commitment of making content every week.
I just wanted to have a personal life for me and my husband.
You’re still creating content – your Twitter is as filthy as ever. Are you just doing it for fun now?
Yes, of course. Now, I just post what I want and whenever I want to.
Now, I don’t make content because I have to, I make it because I want to.
I’m not going to stop posting on my social media – I enjoy sharing with my fans and followers.
What we love about the content that you’re creating now is that you’re really leaning into the Daddy vibe – what is it about Daddy/Son role-play fantasies that appeals to you?
I truly enjoy that I’m a daddy for most.
As I grow older, more and more young guys come to me and call me daddy and tell me that they love my daddy vibe.
It’s never bothered me when younger guys would come and call me daddy. I’ve always liked it – at some point, we all become daddies. We’re all getting older – if we don’t accept who we are then we can’t be happy. I’m happy and I’m okay with getting older – it’s part of life and I love it.
I love the dad and son role play. To me, it’s more about me taking care of the boy and making him feel safe. For the boy, I guess it’s a fantasy, and that’s okay.
Honestly, I have fun with it, and I enjoy watching them get off on the fantasy.
You’ve said that if the right project came up, that you could be tempted back to film some more porn – what kind of production or collaboration would potentially tempt you back from retirement?
I’ve always said that if the right project came along, then I would make more films – I just don’t want to make that my life again. It takes a lot out of you, and I’m happy with where I am now.
I always enjoyed working with Nick Moretti. He’s made some of the best films in recent years, in my humble opinion.
Now, working with other models, It’s hard to say really. I do have a few of my porn-stars friends that I would love to work with in the future. I hope I get to do that at some point, but for now, I’m good where I am.
I’d like to make at least a few more films as a way of saying goodbye and thank you to my fans, for all the support and love that I’ve received from everyone throughout my career.
If someone was thinking of trying their hand at porn, what advice or guidance would you give them?
To really sit and think if this is for them. When I decided to do porn, I knew this was what I wanted for me but this career isn’t for everyone. You have to be clear that this is what you want and that you won’t regret it later on.
I know of some guys that do regret it, and it’s affected them in their personal lives. This industry can be hard for some people and can really take a toll on you.
Can we talk underwear?
I love wearing briefs and boxes.
For other guys, I love them wearing boxes or thongs. Thongs really get me going.
At the gym, I usually wear boxer-briefs as they’re comfortable to work out in.
