Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story – the cult hit returns to London
Riding high on the success of their show Gwyneth Goes Skiing, Awkward Productions are bringing the People’s Princess back to the stage with their production of Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story which will play at the Kings Head Theatre in London.
This is a show that began life at the Edinburgh Fringe but has been warmly received by audiences across the UK. It’s a successfully chaotic blend of drag, multimedia, audience interaction, puppetry and queer joy.
If you like camp exuberance and poking fun at the Royal Family, this is going to be your kind of show.
“This is our first run in London since the show opened – and the journey we’ve been on since has been nothing short of Diconic…” says the Awkward Productions team. “We’re beyond thrilled that queer icon Diana will be at London’s home of queer performance, King’s Head Theatre, to meet, outrage and inspire her audiences – or should I say her Di-hards?”
The Untold and Untrue Story will play at the Kings Head Theatre from 17 April to 5 May
