ManCrush: Niko Reeves
Whether he’s dancing in a bar, starring in film, or hanging out at a leather festival, Niko Reeves knows how to have a good time.
Life in lock-down
“I moved from San Francisco to Las Vegas, just before the pandemic…” explains Niko, when I ask him about his lock-down experience. “It was all a bit frightening at first – everyone was in a panic.”
“I’ve just been at home during lock-down – keeping myself busy with cleaning, reading, and cooking.”
“In terms of dating and sex, I’ve been talking to guys online a lot, and trading sexy pics.”
“I’m not sure what happens next. I need to look for work, but here in Vegas all the casinos, the strip, and downtown are all still closed.”
Recent productions that feature Niko Reeves scenes with Fisting Central, directed by Tom Moore, and also Castro Cruising from SkynMen – directed by Nick Moretti.
Having lived in San Francisco for a number of years, Niko loves a leather festival.
San Francisco’s best-known leather and fetish festival is the Folsom Street Fair. But Niko’s favourite fair is the Up Your Alley Fair, which San Fran locals generally just refer to as Dore Alley.
First held in 1985, Dore Alley is an annual leather and fetish event that’s normally held on the last Sunday of July. It’s run by the same organisation as the Folsom Street Fair which is held annually in September.
“Dore Alley is much more of a pig-fest than Folsom…” explains Niko. “The fair is like a preview before Folsom comes along, but it’s so fun. You see a lot of nudity, public sex, and of course leather.”
“There are always thousands of people there – locals as well as tourists from around the world…” said Niko, trying to estimate the size of the crowd. “I’ve been going to Dore Alley Fair for years, it’s getting bigger every year. It attracts a lot of different types of guys – there’s a lot of hot daddies, and guys in leather. It’s a lot of men.”
Unsurprisingly, both Dore Alley and Folsom have been cancelled for 2020 – both events will be presenting online versions.
